While my views are in large part a result of receiving poor medical advice and treatment in Canada, there are many good and knowledgable doctors out there who have experience successfully treating anal fistulas

As with any medical procedure, results and experience may vary according to the individual as well as the skill of the doctor.

The cost and duration of Kshar Sutra typically depends on the length and complexity of the fistula being treated as well as if there are underlying health conditions (for ex Crohn's or diabetes as these conditions may mean the area heals more slowly). A doctor may be able to give you an estimate for the cost and duration of treatment, but only after a physical exam will they actually know this information.
Kshar Sutra is a herbal treatment and how it is practiced depends on the skill and preferred techniques of the doctor. Make sure to research any doctors thoroughly before committing yourself.
Thoroughly research the area (hotel, city etc) you wish to travel to. Like all places some locations in India are safer than others.
