My Kshar Sutra thread has been out for 18 days and here is a picture of the wound healing. Dr. Bapat told me this would take at months to completely heal so there is still a ways to go. As you can see the swelling in my hemorrhoid (the big squishy thing at the top right of my bum hole) has gone down and there is pinkish red new tissue growing. Everything is great! No pain at all, no incontinence to wind or stool. There is still a thin watery discharge coming from my wound (which Dr. Bapat told me would happen, this is common with healing wounds) and so I am continuing to do my aftercare routine - taking dry cotton and cleaning out my anal area twice a day, then take a cotton ball with Iodine on it and cleaning out the area and using salve Dr. Bapat gave me. He instructed me to continue doing this until there is no more discharge. He also asked that I give him updates every two weeks and any time I have a question I can easily message him and he gets back to me within hours (what a great doctor!)
